 Steel Differential Shaft affects the bearings that support the pinion gear and the ring gear due to the huge speed-reduction gear ratio of the rear differential gear that distributes engine power to the rear wheels. Bearings that support the pinion gear, in particular, require low torque and great durability since they spin at the same speed as the propeller shaft.

To minimize premature failure, Steel Differential Shaft is manufactured of forged steel with additional high-grade steel. In other circumstances, composite materials are also employed to achieve specific features.
